Doctor of chemical sciences, professor, head of the laboratory of High-Molecular Compounds (1988–2010).
Developed a novel common method of heterocyclic polymer synthesis — reductive polyheterocyclization. Obtained aromatic polymers, with improved recyclability in products, based on untraditional initial materials — dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) and
2,4,6-trinitrotoluene. Synthesized novel bisnaphthalic anhydrides and based on them “partially ladder-like” polymers.
