Doctor of sciences, professor, laureate of the State Prizes of USSR (1979), holder of the “Badge of honor” order and several medals, the head of the laboratory for synthesis of organometallic compounds of INEOS RAS (1978–1984).
Prof. Kochetkova was the pupil and coworker of academician Nesmeyanov and a leading expert in the chemistry of ferrocene. She had studied the alkylation of ferrocene and synthesized a number of cyclopentadienyl complexes of transition metals via thallium derivatives of substituted cyclopentadienes. Together with V. D. Vilchevskaya she had developed the Ferrocerone medicine as well as catalysts for combustion of solid rocket fuels. Prof. Kochetkova had worked in INEOS RAS since the foundation of the institute in 1954.
