History of the lab:

R.Kh. Freidlina, the Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences was the founder and the first Head of the Laboratory of Homolytic Reactions of Organoelement Compounds (1954-1986), then the Laboratory was headed by Professor A.B. Terent’ev (1986–1990) and Professor Yu.N. Belokon’ (1990–2002). In October 2002 a part of Laboratory was separated to form a group headed by N.A. Kochetkov that consisted of synthetic team (headed by Professor A.B. Terent’ev) and analytical team (headed by Leading Scientific Researcher S.V. Vitt); in 2004 the above group became the Laboratory.

 

Main directions of the research:

Cyclopalladated complexes: asymmetric synthesis and catalysis of the reaction C-C-Bond formation. Applications of redox reactions to organic synthesis. Asymmetric Reformatsky-type reaction. Regio-, stereoselective synthesis and study a physiologically activity of chiral hydroxyl diamines, polyamines, amino acids and theirs complexes with biogenic metals. Elaboration of methods Etambutol derivatives preparations from pirazolidines. Chemical -enzymatic synthesis and reactions catalyzed by enzymes in low water organic media. Study the processes of chiral recognition in solution nonracemic mixtures of enantiomers. Using vibrating multifunctional device for catalytic reaction of oxidation and razemization in solid phases.
