Andrianov Kuz’ma Andrianovich (1904–1978)

Academician, doctor of sciences, professor, laureate of the State (four times) and Lenin prizes of USSR, holder of six orders including four Lenin orders.

Prof. Andrianov was an outstanding scientist who had developed the field of the silicon-containing polymers and had organized the Russian scientific school of the organosilicon chemistry. He had combined the fundamental synthetic and physical chemistry studies with a broad range of applied research. In particular he had worked on the industrial synthesis of organochlorosilane monomers, organosilicon liquids, rubbers, oils and many other products. In 1954 he had organized the laboratory of organosilicon compounds of INEOS RAS and headed it until 1978. He was also the chair of department of the Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology.
